Pixalytics Ltd is seeking someone to support the growth of the company, including working within internationally focused projects alongside support for our online product and services offering that will be launched later this year.

The key skills we're looking for in you: degree or higher degree with a strong element of remote sensing/Earth observation; combined with experience in software programming and scripting, including Python and Linux; and good mathematical/statistical experience.

Candidates will need to already have the legal right to reside and work within the UK, and the post is available to start immediately.

Key duties and responsibilities

  1. Creation, development, and improvement of a range of terrestrial and hydrological EO products including:
    • Ensuring that all developed code is correctly commented, and supported by written technical documentation.
    • Undertaking software testing and data quality analysis to ensure that outputs are robust and well understood.
    • Maintenance and operation of the Linux-based processing system, alongside solving any issues arising.
  2. Support existing contracts through tasks including data processing, analysis, and the production of reports.
  3. To undertake scientific research and development, in conjunction with the Managing Director, to trial, test and develop innovative EO products and services.
  4. Participate in the bidding/tendering processes of Pixalytics, providing technical inputs where relevant.
  5. To develop relevant EO content for the Pixalytics website and social media activities.
  6. Represent Pixalytics at conferences and meetings, supporting the company's current and future work.
